95 citizens of Ukraine received refugee status in Poland in 2018
In 2018, 4,100 foreigners applied for international protection in Poland. This is about a thousand applications less than in 2017.
This was stated by the press secretary of the Office for Foreigners Yakub Dudziak.
Last year, citizens of Russia (2.7 thousand people), Ukraine (466 people) and Tajikistan (144 people) submitted the most applications for international protection. The most positive decisions were received by citizens of Ukraine (95 people), Russia (79 people) and Iraq (27 people).
212 foreigners received the so-called national protection in the form of consent for a tolerant stay or for humanitarian reasons.
