The government of the Czech Republic increases quota for Ukrainian workers
The government of the Czech Republic agreed to double the quotas for workers from Ukraine - up to 19,600 per year, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of the country said. Such step should help local firms overcome the shortage of work force.
According to the message, the Czech Republic every month will issue to the citizens of Ukraine up to 800 additional work visas, and the procedure for issuing the visas will be fast and simplified.
Earlier, the Czech Employers Association, the Chamber of Commerce and the Confederation of Industry addressed a letter to the government, in which they urged to simplify the procedure for hiring workers from Ukraine. The letter noted that there are 132,000 open vacancies in the country, mainly in IT, construction, industry, electronics, auto and mechanical engineering.
