Over 6 million of foreigners entered Ukraine in the first half of 2017
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, 6.3 million of foreigners entered Ukraine in the first half of 2017, which is 8.7% more than in the same period in 2016.
In 94.1% of cases, foreigners came to Ukraine for private travel.
Most foreigners who entered Ukraine in the first half of 2017 were from Moldova, Belarus, Russia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, Israel and Germany.
In comparison with the first half of 2016, the number of foreign tourists who came to Ukraine from Belarus increased by 373.2 thousand people, from Turkey - by 27.6 thousand people, from Hungary - by 26.7 thousand people, from Moldova - by 26.3 thousand people, from Romania - by 25.8 thousand people, from Russia – by 24.1 thousand people, from Israel - by 23.4 thousand people and from Germany - by 17.1 thousand people.
At the same time, there was a decrease in the number of tourists from Slovakia - by 37.9 thousand people and from Poland - by 2.5 thousand people.
